Music Biography-

I have been a part of the Chicago music scene since New Years Eve, 1986. I was 18 when I filled in for Eugene Vinyard in the 'pit band' with The Temptations at the Arie Crown Theater. During that time I moved to Boston, accepting a Scholarship to study Performance and Music Business at Berklee College of Music. In 1990, I returned to Chicago and received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College in 1992. I spent the following two years as a Performance Bartender at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (playing sax & slinging drinks), and left that position to tour with Leroy Bach's Funk Ensemble Uptighty until its end in 1996.

Since then, I have performed or recorded with Chicago based Musicians and Producers including: Wilco, The Chi-Lites, Marvin Tate's D-Settlement, Tortoise, 5 Style/Heroic Doses, National Trust, Brad Wood(Liz Phair), Brian Deck, Abel Garibaldi, Louie Louie-The Percussionist, Rick Gehrenbeck(Poi Dog), Matt Lux, Jeff Parker, Billy Dolan, Sarah Smith, Le Roy Bach, and (DJ's) Jesse De La Pena, Shon Dervis Smith, Mark Grant, AM/PM, and Jeremy "Sole" Ross.

Here is a short list of some of the venues I have performed at throughout my career: The Metro, The Hot House, The Arie Crown Theatre, The Vic, Double Door, Martyrs, Funky Buddha Lounge, Moda, Sushi Samba, Pertrillo Band Shell, The Fox Theatre (Boulder, CO), Zanzibar (Santa Monica), Pop's for Champagne, Navy Pier -Beer Garden, The Green Mill, The Note, Subterranean, The Empty Bottle, Second City, and many more.
